But that is less than half the story and for purposes of spin and PR the term to learn is “SPENGLERIAN PSEUDOMORPHOSIS”. The reason this term is important is that it explains the current situation in a fashion that is accessible to the highly verbal people who are hung up on the standard political model that leads to the NWO. Pseudomorphosis is a term Oswald Spengler borrowed from geology during WWI in order to write his “Decline of the West” it means a new civilization arising within the bound aries of an old civilization. In even simpler terms it means that a lot of shared assumptions have turned out to be wrong and a better set of assumptions are taking over but a lot of old forms of the old civilization are retained on a utilitarian basis. This is a “Yes and…” as opposed to a “Yes but…” argument. Yes and = here’s the missing piece of your puzzle. Yes but = you idiot. Yes and doesn’t require our statist opponents to admit their heads were up their asses in order to switch to our position, that makes things much easier. Here’s the simple form of the pseudomorphosis argument.
In the period 1932-68 there was certainty:
Presidential Caesarism was well established and the UN would extend a benevolent global imperialism with a hand-off from Britain to the US similar to the Greek successor empires being absorbed by Rome.
Sears on one end and Woolworths on the other would dominate retailing forever as certainly as GM would remain the world’s la rgest private employer.
Since 1968 at least: the number of countries in the world have skyrocketed as secessionist movements have flourished; Carter disproved Keynesianism; big box stores like Wal-Mart have become terrified of the internet; and even highly professional jobs such as medicine, the law and accounting have begun to experience automation and outsourcing. Medical tourism is just the beginning, automating diagnosis and possibly treatment is maybe 30 years down the road max. This is not your daddy’s NWO.
So what went wrong (right)? No one has a complete answer. Certainly economic innovation is part of the answer but it sure doesn’t explain why, for example, attendance at bowling alleys is up but membership in bowling leagues is down. For every datum that can be shown indicating that the NWO was a wrong turn that needs to be corrected there is another that says the UN, NAU et al is a wonderful idea. Tis, Tain’t arguments can not be won so why fight ‘em?
A simpler method is to bypass arguments. Cite the high returns on DARPA and X-foundation prizes in the case of say energy independence. To get to energy independence offer prizes for super conductors that can transmit electricity coast to coast and border to border (this would permit the use of the least cost generators nationwide at a huge savings: upto 70%). Argue that the capital should be closer to the nation’s center of population so voters can visit it more easily and that it will permit rationalization of the bureaucracy. Watch congress try to get reelected after they vote for a new DOE or DOEd building in the new capital at over a billion dollars each.
