The news results for the straw poll in Ames, Iowa are in - and as expected, many are optimistic pertaining to the results of the "highly capable" machinery that is used in counting the votes. After waiting at least an hour and a half to receive the results of the poll that were promised at 8:00 EST, it has been declared that Mitt Romney claims the victory with a little over 31% of the votes.
As one who follows closely with news media coverage pertaining to the event, I would like to state that I am appalled to note that Ron Paul was never mentioned in any of the articles posted quickly thereafter.
Ron Paul was stated to have come in fifth place in the straw poll - however, I have not read one article that has even mentioned his name. Good chance this is the first article that does so!

Comment on this article if you wish, but I want to hear arguments that are backed up and supported with facts and reason that might help me follow your line of thinking. Ron Paul is the best GOP candidate - we need peace and justice - we will lose that which we consider freedom if we allow people who promote war into office - Romney is the epitomy of war and war will destroy more life. How can a man who supports pro-life want to send more people to the middle east - doesn't their life matter too?
All Ron Paul wants America to do is think and react for themselves - he's putting responsibility back into every American citizen's hands. If people enjoy being dictated to and told how to live life - by all means, Romney is your guy. But for me, I believe that imposing government into my life and my family is going to take away the many civil rights that I'm trying to hold onto here in America. (And imposing government in Iraq is not working either!) Face the facts and learn your history - history will repeat itself if we are not careful. Educate yourself and read everything you can get your hands on. You owe it to yourself to know what lies in your surroundings - otherwise your surroundings will engulf you and control you.
